Interesting fact
The ½ Scudo coin from the Duchy of Mirandola, issued during the reign of Alessandro I in 1617-1618, features an interesting design element - a crowned shield with a mirrored image of the coat of arms of the House of Este, the ruling family of the duchy, on the reverse side.
