Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Wajid Ali Shah, who was the last ruler of the Kingdom of Awadh and was known for his love of art, literature, and music. Despite his efforts to modernize the kingdom, Awadh was annexed by the British East India Company in 1856, and this coin was one of the last issues of the kingdom before its dissolution.
