Interesting fact
The ½ Rupee coin from Pakistan was designed by renowned artist and engraver, Percy Metcalfe. Metcalfe was a British artist who worked for the Royal Mint and designed several coins for various countries, including Pakistan. The coin features a portrait of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, on one side, and a depiction of a cotton plant on the other. The cotton plant was chosen as a symbol of Pakistan's agricultural industry, which was a significant part of the country's economy at the time.
