Although similar in design to KM#73, these 1/2 real coins were made by Loyalists in their region to show support for the Crown. So the design is but a mere copy of the Mexico City one.Mint mark Z, ZS or Zs.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time of political turmoil in Mexico. The Royalist Coinage was issued by the Spanish Crown during the Mexican War of Independence, and the coin features an image of King Ferdinand VII on one side and the Spanish coat of arms on the other. Despite the turmoil, the coin was still widely used and remains a valuable collector's item today.
