Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the ½ Pice coin from India, minted during the reign of George V (1912-1936), is that it was designed by the renowned British artist and sculptor, Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal. The coin features a portrait of the king on one side and an image of a crowned lion on the other, with the inscription "HALF PICE" above and "INDIA" below. Mackennal's design was chosen from among several entries in a competition held by the Royal Mint, and it has become a highly sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
