Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Token ½ Penny (Middlesex - Palmer's Mail Coach) ND (1797) coin is that it was used as a form of currency in the United Kingdom during a time when there was a shortage of official coins. The coin was issued by private companies, such as Palmer's Mail Coach, and was accepted as legal tender by many merchants and traders. This coin is a rare example of a privately issued currency that was used widely in the UK.
