Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 1717-1719 George I ('Dump' issue) ½ Penny coin is that it was minted with a unique design that features a crowned shield on the obverse (front) side, and a crowned George I on the reverse (back) side. This design was specifically created to differentiate the coin from other issues of the time, and it has become a distinctive feature of this particular coin. Additionally, the use of copper as the material for the coin was a common practice during this time period, as it was a readily available and affordable metal.
