Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1785 Connecticut Copper ½ Penny is that it was one of the first coins to feature a portrait of a woman. The coin's obverse (front) side features a bust of a woman facing right, who is believed to be a representation of Lady Liberty. This was a departure from the traditional depiction of male figures on coins and signified a shift towards more inclusive representation on currency.
