Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Token ½ Penny (Commercial change 1815 - Nova Scotia) 1815 from Nova Scotia (Canadian provinces) made of Copper weighing 5.8 g is that it was used as a substitute for the official British halfpenny coin, which was in short supply in Nova Scotia at the time. The Token ½ Penny was issued by local merchants and traders to facilitate commerce and trade in the province. Despite its unofficial status, the coin was widely accepted and remained in circulation for many years.
