Comment

- Per Valentine the 'CC's stand for 'Charhat Chamba'
Others state that the CCs are symbols for 'kundals' (ear ornaments) for the deity of the state.
Dr. Shailen Bhandare - "The 'CC' on these coins are ear-rings worn by Sadhus belonging to the Shaivite Nath or Kan-phata sect. They are called as 'Mundra' (from the sectarian word 'Mudra' denoting the ear-rings) and therefore these coins were called 'Mundree' paisas. They also appear on subsequent issues on either side of the trident symbol (again associated with Shiva)
- The 1/2 paisa (half the weight of the 1 paisa) is unlisted in KM

Interesting fact

The ½ Paisa coin from the Princely state of Chamba (Indian princely states) made of Copper weighing 3.24 g has an interesting fact that it was minted during the reign of Shri Singh ND (1844) and features an unique blend of traditional Indian and European influences in its design, showcasing the cultural exchange and fusion that existed during that time period.
