Interesting fact
The Hanukkah-themed coin was part of a special series issued by the Bank of Israel in 1997 to commemorate the holiday. The coin features an image of a traditional Russian lamp, which is a symbol of the holiday, on one side, and the State emblem of Israel on the other. The use of a non-circulating coin made of Copper-aluminium-nickel is a unique feature of this coin, as most coins are made of a different metal composition. Additionally, the fact that it weighs 6.50g is also notable, as it is slightly heavier than most coins of similar size.
