Interesting fact

The ½ Macuta coin from Angola, which was minted during the reign of José I from 1762 to 1770, was made of copper and weighed 19 grams. Despite its relatively small size and weight, this coin was an important part of the local currency system in Angola during the 18th century. It was used for everyday transactions and was also used as a form of tax payment for the local population.
