Comment
KM lists a gold pattern of the 10 Stuivers KM#69 (Pn4) with a weight of 10.4 grams, but this coin is heavier, having the equivalent weight of a 4 ducat coin. Also, this type is lacking the 10 St flanking the shield obverse (see link). Nevertheless, CNG calls this Pn4, so we use this attribution here, as the size cited by CNG (28 mm) is consistent with a 10 Stuivers coin.
(Delmonte lists a coin of this weight for a gold strike of the 1 gulden coin).
Interesting fact
The Pattern ½ Gulden (Gold) 1682 from Province of Utrecht (Dutch Republic) is a rare and valuable coin, with only a few specimens known to exist. One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time of great economic and political change in the Dutch Republic. The coin's mintage was likely a response to the growing wealth and trade in the region, and it serves as a tangible reminder of the province's rich history and cultural heritage.
