Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time when the Netherlands East Indies, now known as Indonesia, was still a colony of the Netherlands. The coin features the image of a Dutch king, King Willem III, on one side and the Indonesian coat of arms on the other. This coin was used as a means of currency during the colonial period and was eventually phased out after Indonesia gained independence in 1949.
