Coin struck after 1362 at the Luxembourg mint. The Luxembourgish shield on the right is non-bureled on most of the known coins.

Wenceslaus I became Count of Luxembourg in 1352 and made Luxembourg a duchy shortly thereafter. He died in 1383 of the plague and is buried in a sarcophagus that is still today in the abbey of Orval.

The weight of this piece varies very strongly. The weight indicated on this sheet is the average of 33 pieces. The lightest weighed 0.46 g. and the heaviest 1.0 g. (Weiller p. 72)
