Interesting fact
The ½ Ducato coin was minted during the reign of Philip II of Spain, who was also known as Philip II of Naples. The coin features an image of the king on one side and the Naples coat of arms on the other. The coat of arms includes a shield with the symbols of the three kingdoms that made up the Crown of Aragon: Aragon, Sicily, and Naples. This design was used on many coins minted during Philip II's reign and is a distinctive feature of coins from this period.
