Interesting fact
The Seated Liberty Half Dollar was designed by Mint Engraver Christian Gobrecht and was minted from 1839 to 1891. It was the first coin to feature Lady Liberty in a seated position, and it was also the first coin to display the motto "In God We Trust" on its reverse side.
