Looking at other examples with the same countermark, there are host coins with the date 1815, meaning these coins would have been countermarked starting at 1811 and ending at an uncertain date. The 1/4 Dollars were had a presumed value of 2-3/4 Escalins.
Interesting fact
The 1811 Haiti ¼ Dollar coin features a unique design element - a liberty cap on the obverse (front) side, which symbolizes freedom and independence. This is particularly significant because Haiti was the first independent black nation in the world, having gained its independence from France in 1804. The inclusion of the liberty cap on the coin highlights the country's commitment to freedom and democracy.
