Interesting fact
The 1811 Haiti ½ Dollar coin features a unique design element - a liberty cap on the obverse (front) side, which was a symbol of freedom and independence during that time period. This design was specifically chosen to commemorate Haiti's independence from France, which was achieved in 1804.
