Interesting fact
The 1989 United States Congress half-dollar coin features a unique design that sets it apart from other coins in the series. The obverse (front) side of the coin depicts a stunning image of the Statue of Liberty, while the reverse (back) side features a rendition of the United States Capitol building. This coin was produced as a non-circulating commemorative coin, meaning it was not intended for general circulation and was instead sold at a premium price to collectors and enthusiasts. Despite its relatively small mintage, the coin remains widely available and is considered a popular collector's item among numismatists.
