Comment
Ferdinand died in 1564, so the coin must have been struck in the first part of Margaret's reign (1557-1564), most likely 1560-1563 when daalders were struck in Ferdinand's name.
VdChijs8 catalog states that the text on the reverse ends with ‘THORENSIS’, though the drawing says ‘THOERENSIS’.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the ¼ Daalder "Batseler / Sprenger" coin is that it features a unique design element - a small image of a bat perched on the rim of the coin. This design was added by the mint master, Batseler, and is believed to have been a personal touch added to the coin to distinguish it from other coins minted during the same period.
