The 1996 Gibraltar ⅕ Crown - Elizabeth II (Audrey Hepburn) coin is unique in that it features a portrait of Audrey Hepburn, a famous actress and humanitarian, on the obverse (front) side of the coin, instead of the traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This was done as a tribute to Hepburn's life and work, and to raise awareness for UNICEF, a charity that she supported. The coin's design was created by sculptor and coin designer, Raphael Maklouf.
