Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Pattern ⅛ Birr - Haile Selassie I (Pattern) 1921 (1929) from Ethiopian Empire (Ethiopia) made of Silver is that it was designed by the renowned Italian engraver and sculptor, Giuseppe Romagnoli. Romagnoli was commissioned by Haile Selassie I himself to create the design for the coin, which features the emperor's portrait on one side and the Ethiopian coat of arms on the other. The coin was minted in 1929, but it was never circulated and remains a rare and valuable collector's item.
