Interesting fact
The ½ Batzen coin from the Bishopric of Passau (German States) made of Silver features a unique design on its reverse side. It depicts a seated figure of St. Florian, the patron saint of Austria and the bishopric, holding a shield with the Passau coat of arms. This design was used on several coins minted during the reign of Bishop Wigileus Fröschl of Marzoll in the early 16th century.
