Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of the Greek goddess Athena, while the reverse (back) side features a stag, which was a symbol of the island of Rhodes. This coin was issued during the reign of King Mithridates VI of Pontus, who was known for his military campaigns against the Roman Republic. Despite being made of bronze, this coin was still considered a valuable form of currency in its time.
