Zeus is sometimes described as holding a patera without this being really visible.

Although the majority of copies of this type are of poor quality, the engraving style of the right hand could rather show an empty "V" shaped hand, as found on various pieces of Greek workshops.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features an image of the Roman emperor Antoninus Pius on one side and a depiction of the goddess Tyche on the other.
