Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features the first known depiction of Zeus on a Greek coin. The obverse side of the coin shows a bearded Zeus with a laurel wreath, while the reverse side shows a helmeted hoplite (foot soldier) and the inscription "ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑ" (Olympia). This coin was minted during the reign of King Alexander I of Epirus, who ruled from 343 BC to 330 BC.
